Dippin' Dots brand enters Greek market

July 1, 2013

Dippin' Dots LLC has announced its expansion into Greece as part of the company's initiative to grow in Europe and Asia, among other international markets.

A dedicated Dippin' Dots store, the first in Greece, opens this month in the Athens suburb of Glyfada. In addition, the company announced that Dippin' Dots will be available at a Greek amusement park and well-attended annual events.

"It remains a top priority for Dippin' Dots to increase our points of presence internationally," said Scott Fischer, Dippin' Dots president. "Our flagship Athens store, combined with our exposure at large-scale events and attractions around the country, now gives Dippin' Dots a foothold in the growing Greek tourism and amusement industries. Always a popular tourist destination, the country is expecting a million more tourists this year than last year. We see a major opportunity to meet the growing demand in the Greek food and beverage sector."

In mid-June, Dippin' Dots launched kiosks at Allou! Fun Park in Attica and Star Beach Waterpark in Crete, which together attract more than 3.4 million visitors annually. The company also has established partnerships with major events including the 2013 Beach Volleyball National Tournament and the Mad Music Awards in Athens, attracting more than 10,000 people.

Dippin' Dots also recently signed an exclusive distribution deal with Wellness Hanshin for the Japanese market.
