Dippin' Dots, a flash-frozen beaded ice cream treat, and Doc Popcorn fresh-popped, kettle-cooked popcorn will be available in a co-branded flagship store opening early April in New York City's Flatiron District at 1 Madison Ave., off Madison Square Park, according to a press release.

"I focus on brands that offer great products, but more importantly great experiences, and I believe that the new Dippin' Dots and Doc Popcorn flagship on Madison Square Park will be an outstanding addition to my portfolio," said Neil Hershman, the 25-year-old entrepreneur who came up with the dual-concept.

"We are excited to partner with Neil as an experienced franchisee to bring our brands to New York City in such a marquee location," Steve Rothenstein, senior director of franchising for Dippin' Dots and Doc Popcorn said in the release. "The new store represents a true partnership between our corporate team and a franchisee for this flagship location."

Dippin' Dots, based in Paducah, Kentucky, distributes its frozen products in all 50 states and seven countries through its franchised and direct distribution network.

Based in Boulder, Colorado, Doc Popcorn started franchising in 2009 and has nearly 100 locations in the U.S., Mexico, Puerto Rico and Japan.
