Doc Popcorn has made its debut in Arkansas with a newly opened unit in the Mall at Turtle Creek in Jonesboro. The location is operated by franchisee Adam Sinnard.
Doc Popcorn's PopKiosk provides fresh-popped kettle corn in a variety of all-natural flavors.
After obtaining his bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa in business management with a focus in entrepreneurship, Sinnard spent the next five years working for Quiznos Corporate. Shortly thereafter, he opened two Quiznos and one Cinnabon shop, which also is located in the mall.
"I really wanted to provide the mall goers a healthy alternative and after extensive research there was no question that Doc Popcorn was just that," Sinnard said.
The new Doc Popcorn is the brand's first in Arkansas and 50th location nationwide. The Mall at Turtle Creek opening marks the first of three units Sinnard plans to open.
Jonesboro's PopKiosk is part of Doc Popcorn's rapid U.S. growth. The company has awarded more than 70 franchise agreements in 28 states.
