Doc Popcorn has announced plans to add 100 new units in Chile and Peru throughout the next 15 years following a recently executed master franchise agreement with Alice Keh and her husband, Patricio Haristoy. The first Doc Popcorn location will open in the couple’s hometown of Santiago, Chile.
According to a news release, Keh, who was originally born in the US, will lead day-to-day operations for the Doc Popcorn business in Chile and Peru, while her Chilean husband, Haristoy, will oversee the strategic and legal aspects of the company.
“Expanding into South America is a very proud moment for Doc Popcorn,” Co-Founder Rob Israel said in the release. “We’re excited to continue partnering with strong master franchise partners like Alice and Patricio to penetrate untapped international markets.”
Doc Popcorn, which began franchising in 2009, now has more than 90 locations across the US, Japan, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
