Veterans Day is Saturday, Nov. 11, and Dunkin’ Donuts is doing right by our heroes, offering veterans and active duty military a free doughnut that day with no purchase necessary.
Additionally, the brand will support the nonprofit Homes For Our Troops with a $10,000 donation to help build and donate specially adapted custom homes for severely injured post-9/11 veterans.
The chain also will also provide a new Keurig Brewing System and a year’s worth of Dunkin’ Donuts K-Cup pods for up to 100 Veterans receiving custom homes by Homes For Our Troops.
Beginning Nov. 9, customers also can purchase military-themed Dunkin’ Donuts virtual gift cards designed by Dunkin’ Brands employee and veteran, Paul Charboneau. The cards can be purchase and sent through the chain’s mobile app.
"Dunkin’ Donuts and our franchise owners and operators — at least 60 of whom are self-identified veterans — take great pride in our brand’s heritage of supporting the brave members of the military who keep our country safe," Tom Manchester, vice president of field marketing, said in the release. "On Veterans Day, we look to demonstrate our enduring appreciation of these brave veterans and active duty military for their heroism, sacrifice and service."
Dunkin’ Donuts has locations at 44 military bases around the world. Through its Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee for Our Troops program, the company has donated more than 300,000 pounds of coffee to troops deployed overseas
