DQ unveils new fan club site

MINNEAPOLIS — Dairy Queen has launched its newly redesigned Blizzard Fan Club Web site, featuring "The Spoonman."
On the site, visitors will find video of Spoonman playing blues, classical, country, punk and five other musical styles with his signature spoons.
Other features include:
- The "Blizzualizer" — Members can mix together their favorite Blizzard ingredients, upload their picture or other image and add sounds.
- "Behind the Blizzard" area — Visitors can discover how Blizzards are made and watch Blizzard commercials. A timeline traces the history of the flavors.
The Blizzard Fan Club has nearly 1.4 million members. Members receive
- An online coupon for a buy one, get one free 16-ounce Blizzard Flavor Treat
- A birthday greeting that includes a buy one, get one free Blizzard coupon
- Monthly e-mail updates on new flavors
- Details about upcoming Blizzard events
- A forum to share ideas for new Blizzard treats
The Blizzard Fan Club Web site originally was launched in 2005 to celebrate the Blizzard's 20th anniversary.
