Dunkin' Donuts today introduced a new lineup of grab-and-go offerings at its restaurants, including a branded Dunkin’ Go Bar. The pre-packaged, chewy granola bar is made with the brand’s coffee flavor and includes 220 calories and seven grams of protein.
The Dunkin’ Go Bar will be available at participating restaurants Sept. 29, to coincide with National Coffee Day. The bars will be sold at restaurant counters and are a permanent addition to the grab-and-go menu that has been expanded recently to also include bananas and cups of Munchkins.
Additionally, Dunkin’ Donuts announced a new partnership with Wrigley Foodservice to make Orbit gum and Altoids mints available for purchase at participating restaurants, also as part of the grab-and-go display at the counter. The partnership begins Oct. 1.
During the company’s investor day last week, John Costello, Dunkin' Brands' president, Global Marketing & Innovation, said these front counter merchandisers have been added nationwide to enhance the in-store experience and to inspire more impulse purchases.
"Expanding our grab-and-go offerings to provide a variety of convenient, satisfying snacks as a bridge between meals is an extremely important part of our growth strategy as we continue our national expansion and cater to more and more on-the-go guests," he added in a news release.
