Dunkin' Donuts announces multistore deal

CANTON, Mass. — Dunkin' Donuts recently announced the signing of a multiunit store development agreement with Kainos Partners in Columbia, S.C. The company's plans call for three to five units in 2008 and the balance within five years.
Kainos' first Dunkin' Donuts in Columbia is scheduled to open in June in the Lexington area. The remaining locations will open in the Fort Jackson Base Hospital, Irmo and West Columbia. In addition to Columbia, Kainos Partners has an agreement to develop 37 restaurants in upstate S.C., including Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson and Clemson.
Kainos Partners was formed in May 2005, with plans to create a long-term business alliance with Dunkin' Brands Inc., which includes a forecast to develop more than 200 Dunkin' Donuts restaurants across the United States Kainos Partners already has opened 26 locations: 13 in Buffalo, N.Y.; 10 in Greenville, S.C.; and three in Las Vegas.
