Dunkin' Donuts announces plans for 14 new restaurants in Kansas, expands Colorado development

Dunkin' Donuts has announced the signing of multi-unit store development agreements with three franchise groups to develop 14 new restaurants in Wichita and Topeka, Kan. over the next several years.

Dunkin' Donuts has announced the signing of multi-unit store development agreements with three franchise groups to develop 14 new restaurants in Wichita and Topeka, Kan. over the next several years.

"Our secret to continued growth includes passionate franchisees who provide a high-level of customer service to our guests every day," said Grant Benson, CFE, vice president of global franchising and business development, Dunkin' Brands. "We are excited to welcome these new and existing franchise partners to the Kansas market, and believe they will cultivate lasting customer relationships and become an integral part of the Wichita and Topeka communities they serve."

The three franchise groups and their development plans include:

  • Douglas Day and Dan Day plan to develop nine restaurants in Wichita. They plan to open their first restaurant before the end of 2014.
  • Alison Leiszler-Bridges and Samantha Liby plan to open three restaurants in Manhattan and the surrounding areas. The duo's first restaurant is planned to open before the end of 2014, and the remainder will open by 2017.
  • Douglas Hutton and David Riggs plan to develop two new restaurants in Topeka. This team currently operates one Dunkin' Donuts restaurant in St. Joseph, Missouri. Their next restaurant is planned to open in 2015, and the second will follow in 2016.

Dunkin’ Donuts also announced it is recruiting franchisees in Colorado with an emphasis on Grand Junction, Glenwood Springs and Durango. Currently, there are 11 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants located in the state.
