Dunkin' Donuts, Boston Celtics continue partnership

October 20, 2010

Dunkin' Donuts and the 17-time world champions the Boston Celtics have renewed their sponsorship agreement for three more years, ending in the 2012-2013 NBA season.

As part of the agreement, Dunkin' Donuts will remain the Celtics' official team sponsor and will continue to have the right to use Celtics' logos and advertising campaigns. Dunkin' Donuts has been the official sponsor of the Boston Celtics for more than 15 years now.

As the official sponsor, Dunkin' Donuts will create promotional programs like the "KidZone," which will have a special sitting section for children from charitable organizations at every Celtics game.  In addition, Dunkin' Donuts has named Celtics All-Star guard Ray Allen as its spokesperson for the sponsorship. Allen will be promoting the company's new iced coffee through a new marketing campaign called "Caught Cold."

Also, the Celtics street team will be traveling around the New England area every Thursday throughout this NBA season to reward customers who are seen drinking Dunkin' Donuts Iced Coffee with two tickets to an upcoming Celtics home game.
