Dunkin' Donuts comes up with a cookie dough donut

January 28, 2014

Beginning today, Dunkin' Donuts is offering its Valentine's Day-themed heart-shaped donuts. This year, the brand has also added two new flavors to the heart-shaped lineup – the cookie dough donut and the brownie batter donut.

According to a news release, the cookie dough donut is filled with cookie-dough butter cream-flavored filling, and topped with chocolate icing and chocolate chips.

The brownie batter donut, back by popular demand, is filled with chocolate brownie batter-flavored butter cream filling, topped with chocolate icing and heart sprinkles. Both donuts will be available at participating Dunkin' Donuts restaurants nationwide through the end of February.

Additionally, Dunkin' Donuts has added brown sugar cinnamon coffee and lattes, available hot or iced at participating locations.

"The Valentine's Day season is all about taking a break from winter to indulge in sweet flavors and festive treats that invoke feelings of warmth and enjoyment. We love finding new ways to delight our guests for Valentine's Day, bringing back our playful heart-shaped donuts in new and classic varieties, and introducing new seasonal beverage choices like the brown sugar cinnamon coffee and lattes," said Stan Frankenthaler, Dunkin' Brands' executive chef and VP of Production Innovation.
