Dunkin' Donuts, Cousins Subs holding social media contests

More quick-service brands are engaging — and attempting to increase — their online fan base with social media contests. The latest events include Dunkin' Donuts' celebrating its one-year anniversary on Twitter while Cousins Subs is holding a Halloween costume contest on Facebook.
Dunkin' Donuts is asking Twitter followers to post tweets about what "rockeDD yr world the past year." A post on @dunkindonuts says that five participants will win free Dunkin' coffee for a year. Tweets must contain the has tag #TwiDDay to enter.
Cousins Subs is offering $1,000 in cash prizes and a year's worth of Cousins Subs for its Facebook fans who post the best Halloween costume photos on its fan page.The Cousins Subs Facebook contest runs through Nov. 2.Entrants must post photos of themselves in costume to the Cousins Subs Facebook page wall.
The chain will choose two grand prize winners under the categories of Most Original Costume and Costume with Best Incorporation of Cousins Subs. It's also possible to win both categories.Each grand prize winner will receive a $500 cash prize and Cousins Subs for a year.
Wendy's also is hosting a social media contest, asking customers to post 30-second videos of their favorite Wendy's moment.
