Dunkin' Donuts has opened six new restaurants and one remodeled location throughout the past several weeks with existing franchisees in South Florida.
According to a news release, there are currently more than 150 Dunkin' Donuts locations throughout the Miami-Fort Lauderdale market.
Franchise partner Mike Koroghlian of Broward Donuts LLC opened three restaurants in the market, in Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Coconut Creek. He has been a franchisee for eight years and owns a total of 25 units throughout South Florida.
Eleven-year Dunkin' Donuts franchise veteran Chris Mellgren, of Surfside Coffee Company, opened a new location on North Kendall Drive in Miami.
Additionally, franchisee Mark Cafua opened a new restaurant at 2499 University Drive in Sunrise. Cafua and his family have franchised Dunkin' Donuts locations since the early 1980s, with more than 215 restaurants in six states, including more than 20 in South Florida.
Finally, franchisees Charles Cutler and Mike Ferreira opened one location in Miramar and franchisee Andy Awale reopened a remodeled Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin-Robbins' cobranded unit in Hallandale Beach.
