Dunkin' Donuts localizes product offerings
October 8, 2008
The Herald News (Fall River, Mass.): Dunkin' Donuts has rolled out a new breakfast sandwich featuring Portuguese chourico for a limited time in shops located in southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
The sandwich is geared to please locals, who like the spicy sausage. Dunkin' tends to regionalize its offerings, including offering a chicken biscuit in Texas. In Taiwan, Dunkin' Donuts offers items like sweet potato, green apple and pineapple doughnuts, and mochi rings, which are cake doughnuts made with rice flour indigenous to the region.
