Dunkin’ Donuts marks Global Donut Day with a freebie

Dunkin' Donuts will host its second annual Global Donut Day celebration June 6 by offering guests a free donut of their choice with the purchase of any beverage. The promotion is good while supplies last.

"We were so proud to celebrate Global Donut Day at our restaurants worldwide last year, and wanted to share this great promotion with our guests around the world again this year," John Costello, president of global marketing and innovation, said in a news release. "Donuts are such fun and delicious treats, which bring smiles to guests at Dunkin' Donuts restaurants around the world every day.”

Additionally, participating Dunkin' Donuts restaurants around the world will feature a Smiley Face Donut, a filled yeast shell donut decorated with a smiley face. Fillings for the donut will vary by market to cater to local tastes, and include jelly, Bavarian Kreme and Chocolate Kreme, the release said.
