Dunkin' Donuts announced that it has 12 new airport locations planned for 2013, including the brand's debut at Louis Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans; Dallas' Love Field Airport; Houston's George Bush International Airport; Des Moines International Airport in Iowa; and Chicago's Midway Airport.

Dunkin' Donuts currently has nearly 90 airport locations.

Additionally, the company is anticipating a holiday rush at its more than 50 train and bus terminal locations, as 84 million people are expected to travel in the coming weeks. Highway travelers also have the opportunity to visit Dunkin' Donuts at numerous travel centers on Florida's Turnpike, the Maryland Turnpike, the Connecticut Turnpike, Merit Parkway, the Kansas Turnpike and more.

"Airport and other non-traditional locations continue to be strong growth areas for Dunkin' Donuts," said Grant Benson, CFE, vice president of development at Dunkin' Brands. "Guests love the convenience of grabbing their favorite coffee or baked goods wherever their busy travel schedules may take them, and our franchisees enjoy the flexibility of these sites."

Dunkin' Donuts currently has more than 500 non-traditional locations. The brand's Trip Planner allows travelers to map all of the Dunkin' Donuts restaurants along their road trip. Dunkin's App for iPhone, iPod touch and Android smartphones has a detailed restaurant locator.
