Dunkin' Donuts retail coffee among 2008's top new products

Advertising Age: Dunkin' Donuts' retail coffee line, distributed through a partnership with J.M. Smucker Co., was one of the two most successful new brands in 2008, according to Information Resources Inc.'s annual Pacesetters list of most successful brands. Gatorade's G2 was the top brand to surpass the $100 million benchmark for a hit new product.
Dunkin' Donuts coffee is sold in more than 40,000 U.S. retail outlets and drew $115 million in sales, according to the Chicago-based market-research firm, which compiles sales from grocery stores, vending machines and convenience stores, excluding Walmart and club stores.
