CANTON, Mass. — Dunkin' Donuts has signed a multi-unit store development agreement with Giant Oil Inc. for the development of 12 restaurants in Dayton, Ohio, the company has announced. The franchisee's plans call for one unit to open in 2011 and the balance within the next five years.
Giant Oil, headquartered in the Tampa Bay, Fla., area, is a multi-branded, multi-state petroleum jobber that has a diversified background in the convenience store.
In addition to the 12 units purchased by Giant Oil, Dunkin' is still looking for new franchisees to develop a minimum of three restaurants in Dayton, including the surrounding areas of Springfield, Tipp City, Middletown, Eaton and Lima. Dunkin' Donuts' development of the Dayton DMA is part of a steady and strategic growth strategy, which includes expanding in existing markets while entering new cities across the country to help direct the company's future growth.
