Dunkin' Donuts is expanding its operations in southern Florida. The coffee and bakery chain announced a signed a multi-unit store development agreement with existing franchisee, David McNulty, for 10 new restaurants in Monroe and Miami-Dade Counties.
Three of those restaurants are expected to open in 2011, and the remaining seven stores are expected to be open by 2014.
This annoucement comes shortly after a previous report on the company's major expansion project.
McNulty has been with the company since 1998 and has built a successful franchise of 18 restaurants in Fort Myers, Fla. He will also supervise the construction of the new stores.
"I am excited to expand Dunkin' Donuts' presence throughout South Florida and play an important role in the daily lives of people who live, work and visit here," said McNulty. "I have a strong passion and loyalty for the brand and look forward to the opening of my additional restaurants in the years to come."
Besides adding 10 new stores, Dunkin' Donuts is looking to expand existing franchisees in Milwaukee, Charlotte, Atlanta, Tampa, Washington, DC and Detroit.
"Our secret to success is our passionate franchisees who provide a high-level of customer service to our guests every day, and we're confident David and his team will continue to cultivate lasting relationships and remain an integral part of the community," said Grant Benson, CFE and vice president of franchising and market planning for Dunkin' Brands.
