November 19, 2007
DETROIT — Dunkin' Donuts has announced America's Thanksgiving Day Parade Appreciation Day in Michigan, as part of its "America Runs on Dunkin'" program.
On Thanksgiving Day, for every dozen donuts purchased at participating Dunkin' Donuts, an additional dozen will be donated to Forgotten Harvest for distribution to area shelters throughout metropolitan Detroit. A maximum of 1,000 dozen will be provided.
Additionally, all Parade Company and Forgotten Harvest employees and volunteers will receive a coupon for a free, 20-ounce hot coffee in their choice of flavor or a 16-ounce hot chocolate redeemable at any participating Dunkin' Donuts in Michigan between Nov. 22 and Dec. 31, 2007.
"Thanksgiving is about giving back, and we at Dunkin' Donuts are pleased to assist Forgotten Harvest in its efforts to drive out hunger from our communities," said Nick Spencer, marketing manager of Dunkin' Donuts in Michigan.
