Dunkin' Donuts to go trans-fat free

CANTON, Mass. — Dunkin' Donuts has announced that all its menu offerings nationwide, including its signature doughnuts, will contain zero grams trans fat by Oct. 15, 2007.
Doughnuts with zero grams trans fat currently are served in Philadelphia and New York City. To date, the trans-fat-free doughnuts have been served in approximately 400 restaurants throughout the country as part of a nationwide blind test over a four-month period.
In addition, Baskin-Robbins' offerings, including its ice cream inclusions and ribbons, will contain zero grams trans fat by Jan. 1, 2008.
