Dunkin' pushes 'Refreshers' with RV-for-a-week sweepstakes

With an impressive 46 million Americans expected to hit the road in a recreation vehicle over n the next year, Dunkin's latest RV-based promotion might be key to driving in whole new contingents of customers who have a special affinity for the open road and Dunkin's iced beverages.

The brand's newly launched Dunkin' Refresh Sweepstakes is centered on frosty drinks and has the doughnut and coffee concept hitting the road in its hot pink RV to solicit plans from customers on how they'd use it for a week. They may share ideas online by Aug. 16 with the hashtag #DunkinRefreshSweepstakes, according to a news release.

One winner will get to use the RV for the week of Sept. 20 and will also have 24-hour access to the vehicle's Keurig K-Mini Plus coffee maker with Dunkin' K-Cup pods and a gift card for Dunkin' Refreshers all week.

"People who have had their vacation plans canceled are looking for ways to break out of their familiar four walls and hit the reset button," Drayton Martin, Dunkin's vice president, brand stewardship said in the release. "Just like the feeling of sipping our Dunkin' Refreshers, we hope a week away in this one-of-a-kind RV helps provide a much-needed mental and physical refresh."

Dunkin' introduced the Strawberry Dragonfruit and Peach Passion Fruit refreshers in June. Each is made with iced green tea, flavored fruit concentrate and B vitamins and are under 200 calories.

To enter the contest, participants must be between 25 and 79 years old with a valid U.S. driver's license and be residents of the contiguous U.S.
