Dunkin' responds to article on spying tactics

Blue MauMau: Dunkin' Donuts headquarters has submitted its response to an Aug. 25 Blue MauMau article, "Dunkin' stalking scheme plagues franchisees in court."
 
Stephen Caldeira, chief global communications & public affairs officer for Dunkin' Brands Inc., saidthe company does not investigate franchisees because they are wealthy. But when a franchisee suspected of hiding his true sales is relatively poor on paper but has an expensive lifestyle, the company has reviewed public records but has not engaged in any kind of surveillance or spying.
