Echo Mountain Blue Burger debuts on Burgerville menu
September 27, 2010
Burgerville has introduced its latest limited-time gourmet offering, the Echo Mountain Blue Burger.
The item was inspired by the Pacific Northwest-based company's newest "community champion," artisan cheese maker Ignazio Vella, from Rogue Creamery.
Rogue Creamery is a company dedicated to sustainability and the art and tradition of making the world's finest handmade cheese. It was founded in 1935 and has been a Burgerville partner since 2005.
Burgerville offers seasonal gourmet offerings to support communities where the chain exists.
The Echo Mountain Blue Burger features:
- Rogue Creamery’s Echo Mountain Blue Cheese – a limited edition, award-winning cheese made from a blend of cow and goat’s milk, which has matured for more than 8 months. This cheese recently took 1st place in the 2010 American Cheese Society in the Mixed Milk Category;
- A quarter pound, Country Natural Beef patty which comes fresh, with no added hormones or antibiotics. Country Natural Beef is raised on a 100 percent vegetarian diet from an Oregon founded co-op of family owned and operated ranches that practice sustainable ranch management;
- A toasted, Franz Bakery sweet onion hamburger bun;
- A wedge of fresh roasted red pepper, fresh leaf lettuce and red onion slices;
- House made red pepper aioli, a gourmet mayonnaise with chopped garlic, lemon juice and red peppers.
A portion of sales from every Echo Mountain Blue Burger will go toward the American Cheese Education Foundation. The item will be available for six weeks for $5.29.
