Edible launches nationwide 'bakeshop'

Fresh fruit arrangement brand, Edible, is moving into baked goods, with the launch of Edible Bakeshop, beginning with a little something inspired by fall — miniature pumpkin cheesecakes as brownies. The regular menu ,however, includes miniature New York-style cheesecakes, cookies and other bakery treats sold individually or in boxes and platters that can be bundles with Edible dipped fruits through more than a 1,000 stores nationally, according to a company press relesae.

"As Edible's offerings continue to evolve from special occasion purchases to everyday indulgences, it made sense to launch the Edible Bakeshop brand as a whole new way to delight the consumer," Edible President and COO Cheikh Mboup, said in the release. "Research shows that indulging with sweet treats is on the rise, so we have to meet our customers' demands using ingredients that bring wholesome enjoyment to any self-desire or gifting occasion."

Edible's initial entry into the baked goods space was in 2019, when the brand successfully tested selling cheesecakes and cookies in select stores across North America. The company said those baked goods have since risen to some of the highest-selling products in its offerings.

The Atlanta-based brand said the bakery line will expand in coming months with cupcakes coming soon.
