Signs that some restaurant leaders are glimpsing light inside the pandemic-shadowed tunnel, comes from the announcements this week of new products introductions at several QSRs, beginning with Wienerschnitzel and its Froot Loops-dipped cones and shakes for cereal-lovers.
The LTOs are all about grainy multi-colored circles which either coat the brand's cone or can be swirled into its shakes.
"I love Froot Loops, and the combination of it with our creamy soft serve is unbelievably good," CMO Doug Koegeboehn, said in the release. "As most ice cream shops are closed right now, we're excited to be able to offer customers Froot Loops Dipped Cones and Shakes through our drive-thrus for people craving a sweet treat day or night."
Likewise, at Edible, they're doing some dipping too with the introduction of a new product line, especially intended for stay-at-home gatherings in the brand's DIY fondue kits featuring make-it-yourself chocolate strawberries, according to a release.
The kits are now available at the brand's website and U.S. and Canadian stores. The brand offers free delivery options and recently also introduced fresh fruit and vegetable boxes, which listeners of the QSRweb podcast recently learned will soon include a new QSR model, Edible.
The new kits include one for chocolate-dipped strawberries, as well as chocolate-dipped strawberries and bananas or just the dipping chocolate alone. Prices range from $9.99 for the solo chocolate to $39.98 for the two-fruit kit in the U.S.
