El Pollo Loco debuts new look, LTO

El Pollo Loco opened a store this week in Arizona while also debuting an LTO nationwide, a news release said. The new store on East Shea Boulevard in Scottsdale opened Monday, marking the chain's second location in that city and 24th in greater Phoenix.

"We are excited to continue expanding in the Phoenix market and offer another conveniently located destination for individuals and families to enjoy our handcrafted dishes," El Pollo Loco CEO Steve Sather said in the release. 

The new location was constructed under the brand's Vision Design that highlights an authentic, Mexican-inspired look and feel with warm textures, rustic elements and a focus on the open kitchen layout, Sather said.

And just to add some punch to that opening, the brand is also introducing an overstuffed quesadilla LTO line, including chicken cheddar bacon, Southwest chicken avocado, chicken nacho and chicken fajita avocado varieties.

"For this line, we've added some fun and unique ingredients like pickled jalapenos, caramelized onions and bacon," El Pollo Loco CMO Ed Valle said in a news release. "These flavors complement our fire-grilled chicken and melted cheese for a perfectly stuffed quesadilla."

Mexican-American All-Star first baseman Adrián González will promote a BOGO offer on the LTO on social media by revealing a coupon code on June 23 on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
