A Washington, D.C., startup company will soon launch a mobile dining app designed to give customers and restaurants more control, choice and convenience, according to the company. Called eleat, the app allows customers access to real-time menus and the capability to pay from the table-side as well as takeout and delivery orders using their smartphone or tablet.
The app works for all participating restaurants, eliminating the need to download multiple restaurant-specific apps. eleat also provides restaurants with an option to integrate with point-of-sale systems and provides search options for the top food allergies for diners who need such information, according to the company.
Following the inaugural launch in the Washington, D.C.-area, eleat will expand its reach on the East Coast and will eventually be available nationwide, according to the company.
