EVOS moves into North Carolina

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — SKS Healthy Foods has announced the expansion of the EVOS brand of restaurants into North Carolina, with the first opening in Chapel Hill on July 11, 2008.

Headquartered in Tampa, Fla., EVOS offers a full menu of burgers, fries, and shakes that have 50-70 percent less fat and calories than similar traditionally cooked items. EVOS meats and Airfrie are cooked in specialty ovens rather than grills or deep-fryers. Also, EVOS uses naturally raised, free-range beef and organic ingredients.

For example, EVOS' American Champion burger contains only 12 grams of fat, 420 calories and zero cholesterol, a regular serving of EVOS fries contains 8 grams of fat and 230 calories, and EVOS' Organic Vanilla milkshakes have only 2.5 grams of fat and 180 calories.

SKS Healthy Foods is a master developer of EVOS franchises and has agreed to build a minimum of 21 EVOS locations in North Carolina and metro Atlanta in the next five years.
