January 14, 2008
DANBURY, Conn. — Famous Uncle Al's Hot Dogs & Grille Inc. has opened itsnewest restaurant, located in West Haven, Conn., the company announced. It is the company's second location in Connecticut.
"In a variation from our typical strip center location, this is our first in-town restaurant," said president Dean Valentino. "This restaurant features a smaller footprint than an inline store and is designed to accommodate a higher volume of take-out business. As a consequence of its proximity to the local beach, it is expected to be a strong performer in summer months."
The company markets its franchise opportunities through a regional franchisee (area developer) program that provides exclusive development rights in designated territories. The company also has plans for restaurants in Las Vegas, Virginia, Florida and Phoenix, according to a news release.
