Firehouse H2O For Heroes effort happening Saturday

Firehouse Subs aims to help local first responders with its H2O For Heroes program this weekend in which customers who donate a 24-pack of water will get a free medium sub.

The water donation will go to a local firehouse and first responder teams as well as community groups in need, according to a website announcement.

The donation day is Saturday, August 7 and it's a limit of one sub per person per case of water. It is not valid with online or delivery orders.

The water is needed during summer months as staying hydrated in emergency response situations is critical.
