Fla. McDonald's names new liquid waste collector

September 17, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. — Freedom Environmental Services Inc. (FESI) has signed a contract with McDonald's Corp. franchisees to collect and dispose of liquid waste products, including grease, from multiple franchise sites beginning in Florida.

FESI has initially secured contracts for liquid waste collection with McDonald's franchisees located in the Orlando (Central Florida) area. Liquid waste collection and disposal is federally mandated with required adherence to strict protocols.

"This is a significant step in securing the feedstock platform necessary to provide for the company's stated annualized goal of producing 20 to 30 million gallons of biofuel in 2009," said Michael S. Borish, FESI chairman and chief executive officer.

FESI is an operating wastewater services company servicing commercial, institutional and municipal infrastructure customers and wastewater system protection programs. FESI is developing and managing high-yield liquid waste to biofuel and nutrients conversion programs driven by strategic acquisitions and its commercial customer base.
