Food delivery service for Black-owned restaurants expands to LA, NYC

Black and Mobile, a food delivery service that exclusively delivers for Black-owned restaurants, has announced its expansion to include Los Angeles and New York City, according to a press release.

"We are thrilled to bring Black and Mobile to the two most populous cities in the country," David Cabello, founder of Black and Mobile, said in the release. "We started Black and Mobile to give exposure to Black-owned restaurants by supporting black food entrepreneurs and connecting their culture to the surrounding community, and these two new cities will allow us to continue doing so at scale."

Los Angeles restaurants available on Black and Mobile include The Original Taco Pete, Sky's Gourmet Tacos, JR's BBQ, Fresh & Meaty Burgers (Carson and LA locations), Vegan AF, Jackfruit Cafe, and Smakk'd Refreshers.

In New York City, Cuzin Duzin, Sofia Grace and Cookies, The Nourish Spot, Silver Chicken and Seafood, and Sweet Brooklyn Bar are available on the Black and Mobile app and website.

"David's personal commitment to providing first class service feeds my personal commitment to producing first class food products. We are iron sharpening iron. Together we change the Black business landscape in America."

Black and Mobile is relaunching in its current markets of Atlanta, Baltimore and Philadelphia with an upgraded guest experience. The relaunch is in partnership with Pepsi Dig In, a multi-year platform that is both a rallying call for people to double down on supporting Black-owned restaurants, as well as an invitation for Black restaurateurs to tap into a variety of resources, mentorship and training made possible by PepsiCo.

Black and Mobile is also working with Figure 8 Logistics to update its technology stack.The company has a website and app for iOS and Android.
