The former director of the Jared Foundation will plead guilty in the child pornography case against him.

The former director of Jared Fogle’s Jared Foundation will plead guilty in the child pornography case against him, his attorney said, according to FOX 59 TV in Indianapolis.

Russell Taylor was charged in federal court in May with seven counts of production of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

"We anticipate the filing of a guilty plea in the near future," attorney Brad Banks told FOX59.

QSRWeb reported that former Subway sandwich chain pitchman Jared Fogle asked a federal judge on Aug. 19 to accept his own plea of guilty to charges of child pornography and traveling to solicit paid sex with minors. It was also reported that Rochelle Herman worked undercover with law enforcement authorities to gather information on Fogle's comments and admissions about having sex with minors .Fogle was placed on home detention and must wear an electronic monitoring device. No date has been set for his next court appearance.

More details about the deal with Taylor were expected Tuesday as prosecutors faced a Sept. 3 deadline for an indictment. In a motion, Federal Magistrate Mark Dinsmore wrote "The defendant and the Government are discussing issues of this case" and "the ends of justice will be served by granting this continuance and outweigh the best interests of the public and the defendant in a speedy trial," FOX59 reported.

Taylor was arrested in a child pornography case in April. A search of Taylor’s home turned up more than 500 videos with images of child pornography. In May, Taylor unsuccessfully tried to kill himself while in jail.

Last week, FOX 59 reported that Fogle filed a lawsuit against Taylor alleging he failed to pay back a loan he used to buy his home.
