Former Popeyes employee charged in manager's slaying

Houston Chonicle: A former employee at a west Harris County Popeyes has been charged with capital murder in the May 1 slaying of the night manager. Sheriff's deputies said George Curry Jr. allegedly fatally shot Edward Ricky Virappen, 19, during a robbery in which he forced two other employees into a walk-in freezer.
