Wienerschnitzel announced that Northern California-based franchisee, Farouk Diab, is the recipient of Multi-Unit Franchisee Magazine's 15th Annual Most Valuable Performer Award in the "Spirit of Franchising" category. Diab is one of ten franchisees in the country to receive the award, which recognizes the best and brightest in the industry, according to a company press release.
Diab secured his first job in America working as a janitor at a Wienerschnitzel in San Jose, California, at the age of 18 after immigrating from Israel in 1975. Today, Diab heads 17 locations, with three in the pipeline. This year marks his 40th anniversary with Wienerschntzel. He is a leading franchisee in both units and profitable stores in the chain's system of more than 325 restaurants, the company said.
