Maryland-based Arby's franchisee KBK Inc. has closed 10 restaurants, citing "financial difficulties brought on by the economy."
According to Fredericksburg.com the franchisee was "forced to close" its stores by parent company Arby's Restaurant Group.
KBK Inc. attempted to negotiate with the corporate office; however, Arby's decided the closures were a better solution. The franchisee made a statement on its website on Dec. 24 saying that negotiations will continue with all interested parties.
Payroll will continue to all employees on the regular scheduled pay dates.
