Franklin, Tenn., Krystal to hold free sampling day

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Krystal Co. has announced that its Franklin, Tenn., franchise partner will celebrate its new restaurant location by hosting a free menu tasting for area residents.
The "Sample Saturday" event will take place Jan. 17 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will provide Krystal guests the opportunity to sample for free the company's variety of menu options, including:
- Spicy Southern Chik Basket with Fiesta Waffle Fries — Featuring a 100 percent whole breast chicken filet marinated with cayenne peppers, vinegar and other savory seasonings, all coated with a light, crispy southern-style breading. The Spicy Southern Chik is topped with a pickle and mayonnaise and served on a freshly steamed Krystal bun. The basket meal includes two Spicy Southern Chiks, spicy Fiesta Waffle Fries and a medium beverage.
- Krystal Freeze — The Krystal Freeze comes in the flavors of Orange, Cherry, Green Apple, Grape, Blueberry, Banana, Strawberry, Purple Fusion, Island Punch and the classic frozen favorite, Coca Cola.
- Krystal Chiks — Krystal's signature, small, square chicken sandwich topped with mayonnaise and a pickle and served on a soft Krystal bun.
- Krystal Pups — Krystal's iconically small hot dog served plain or with chili and/or cheese.
- MilkQuakes — Krystal's lineup of premium milkshakes made with real ice cream. Flavors include Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry, and for a limited time, Mint Chocolate Cookie, Pumpkin Pie and Eggnog.
