Free surprise menu items added to Carl's Jr. Postmates orders

Beginning today, July 17, Carl's Jr. customers can get a free "surprise menu item" added to their orders from the chain through Postmates as a celebration of the brand's 79 anniversary. A news release said the surprise items include the classic Famous Star with cheese, Western bacon cheeseburger and crisscut fries.

The giveaways are available exclusively on Postmates at participating locations from today through Sunday, July 19 with orders of $15 or more. The CKE Restaurants Holdings Inc. brand and its sister chain, Hardee's, have more than 3,900 restaurants globally.
