FreshBerry opens 20th location in Saudi Arabia

Tulsa, Okla.-based FreshBerry Frozen Yogurt has opened its 20th store in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with franchise partner United Food Company.

The newest location is in Jizan, in the Southern Region of Saudi Arabia. It is a co-branded store with Dallas-based Pizza Inn. United Food Company plans to open 15 more stores in the next 24 months in Qatar and Oman, according to a news release.

Including FreshBerry’s Latin American and South American Partners, there are now more than 40 stores open with 50 more planned to open within the next 36 months.

"The frozen yogurt market is very saturated in the U.S., so growth is stagnant. Our international strategy has proved to be a windfall and an excellent move," FreshBerry co-owner David Rutkauskas said in an email.
