Friendly’s Ice Cream announced the opening of a drive thru in western Massachusetts at 21 Southampton Road in Westfield. off exit 3 from the Masssachusetts Pike.

"Friendly’s looks forward to serving current and new guests a delicious meal coupled with swift service, and we couldn’t think of a better place to bring this new drive-thru concept than to our ’home’ in Western Massachusetts."
Friendly’s drive thru in Westfield is an addition to its Southampton Road restaurant, which originally opened in 1986, according to a company press release. The drive thru has one window for car service, while the restaurant, which contains 3,788 square feet of space, offers 140 seats. The drive thru will serve guests menu items, alone or in a combo, such as egg and cheese breakfast supermelt sandwiches, Friendly’s big beef burgers, salads, supermelt sandwiches, and a dessert selection, including ice cream, sundaes and the fribble.
Friendly’s Ice Cream has distribution through more than 8,000 retail locations.
