Friendly's colors ice cream cakes with Crayola

Wilbraham, Massachusetts-based Friendly’s Ice Cream LLC, the operator of Friendly’s restaurants and a manufacturer of ice cream products in retail outlets, is teaming up with Crayola to introduce the Crayola Decorate Your Own Ice Cream Cake promotion.

Wilbraham, Massachusetts-based Friendly’s Ice Cream LLC, the operator of Friendly’s restaurants and a manufacturer of ice cream products in retail outlets, is teaming up with Crayola to introduce the Crayola Decorate Your Own Ice Cream Cake promotion.

Each cake is topped with whipped icing that serves as an edible artist’s canvas that can be customized with packets of blue and red icing, rainbow confetti and green and yellow sprinkles included with every package, according to the announcement.  The Crayola Decorate Your Own Ice Cream Cake is handmade at Friendly’s creamery in Wilbraham, Massachusetts and contains layers of vanilla and chocolate ice cream separated by chocolate crunchies, the company said.

Cakes are sold in single 60 oz. sizes that serve 12 to 15 guests and retail for $17.99 to $19.99 per package. They are available for purchase in the bakery section of Walmart Supercenters and other stores nationwide. The cakes will soon be available at all Friendly's restaurants.
