FroZenYo plants flag in Beantown

August 20, 2013

Washington, D.C.-based FroZenYo has made its debut in Boston's Downtown Crossing.

The self-serve shop, located at 277 Washington St., marks the brand's first Massachusetts location. It is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily and features 16 flavors with more than 30 toppings, as well as baked breakfast options and the brand's Zombie Coffee. FroZenYo also features Greek yogurt selections and toppings for breakfast, as well as bottled water at 29 cents a bottle.

"We're excited to be opening in Boston, joining a number of popular food establishments that have recently opened in this high-traffic area. We've heard from many people working and living in the area that they are looking forward to our opening, so we are optimistic for real success here. New Englanders love their ice cream, and FroZenYo is a healthier way to enjoy a frozen dessert that tastes like ice cream," said Owner Matthew Coombs.

In four years, FroZenYo has opened 16 stores in D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and now Boston, with 35 more stores in various stages of development in D.C., Maryland, Virginia, Ohio and Puerto Rico.

FroZenYo is actively being developed by Franchise Freeway, a franchise marketing, sales and development company based in Fairfax, Va.
