McDonald's has named former General Mills vice president, Tiffanie Boyd, as its U.S. chief people officer, the brand's leadership team told its employees, in a note obtained by QSRweb. Boyd "joins us at a time when our commitment to people has never been more critical," according to the note.
Boyd will join the company Jan. 4 after 23 years at General Mills, most recently as vice president of Human Resources for North America Retail, where she led engagement and culture change for the company's 11,000 employees.
McDonald's said that its national "Own the Ambition" initiative for this year and next , designate crew experience as the company's "most important growth priority." In her new role, Boyd will help it lead those efforts.
Candace Jean-Louis is serving as interim U.S. CPO and will support Boyd through her onboarding process.
