#getfried gets growing

January 12, 2017

The French fry and finger food QSR, #GetFried Fry Cafe, has signed deals for three new franchises in Houston, Texas, as well as Buffalo and New York City, in New York, according to a news release.
The chain capitalizes on the growing restaurant trend for snack foods and uses concession, walk-up and sit-down cafes in malls, college towns, sports arenas, casinos, airports, gas stations, movie theaters and downtown urban entertainment districts.

It specializes in what it calls "gourmet topped" French fries that begin with one of six fry styles, then are built up with more than 20 sauces and seasonings. Other basket offerings are available with finger foods like bite-sized chicken and even a recently introduced "Dutch-style frite" served in paper cones.
“Consumers are increasingly seeking quick, customizable food options, and with the relatively small footprint and non-traditional location options the Get Fried franchise opportunity offers, we’ve seen high demand from prospective franchisees who want to help us grow the brand,” #getfried founder Chris Covelli, said in the news release.

Growth in the coming months includes franchise agreements with Move Systems to debut a New York City food cart on Jan. 18, as well as a deal with Franchise Development Group for a Buffalo, New York-based food truck and an agreement with Marq-E Entertainment Center for a freestanding store in  Houston later this year.

"Our partnership with Get Fried will bring a rather unique mobile food offering to New York City," Move Systems Vice President and General Counsel Jeffrey Hoffman said in the release. "In addition, to capturing the gourmet topped French fry market in the city via traditional sidewalk locations, our aim is to satiate an entirely new market demand by deploying our #getfried carts in bars across the five boroughs that don’t currently offer food options to their patrons."

The brand now has two corporate-owned sites in western New York and a food truck franchise in San Antonio. Domestic expansion is focused on the northeastern US and major metro areas like Las Vegas, Atlanta, Miami and New York City.
