Global Franchise Group LLC, parent company of Great American Cookies, Pretzelmaker, Marble Slab Creamery, MaggieMoo's Ice Cream & Treatery and Hot Dog on a Stick, has hired Andrew Kmiec to serve as VP of Real Estate.
According to a news release, Kmiec will be responsible for directing GFG's real estate team in the areas of strategic site selection, lease negotiation and store design for franchisees and corporate-owned locations.
Before coming to GFG, Kmiec was associate VP, Real Estate at Focus Brands Inc., parent company of Auntie Anne's, Cinnabon and Moe's Southwest Grill. He has 15 years of experience in real estate and operations.
"Andrew has immense knowledge and experience in identifying new business markets, site-driven franchise sales and leasing negotiations, which made him an ideal candidate for GFG's Vice President of Real Estate position," GFG CEO Chris Dull said in the release. "As our portfolio continues to diversify and increase in size, Andy's expertise in the quick-service restaurant real estate space will be an asset to GFG."
Kmiec holds a bachelor of Science in Business Management from Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania. He resides in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
