Global Franchise Group, which includes brands such as Great American Cookies, MaggieMoos, Marble Slab Creamery and Pretzelmaker/Pretzel Time, has named Jenn Johnston as chief marketing and operations officer for its management platform GFG Management LLC.
This newly created position includes managing mulitple strategic brand teams that oversee marketing, communications, research and development, operations, training, supply chain and customer service activities.
Johnston has more than 15 years of experience in brand marketing, public relations and operations, most recently serving as senior vice president of brand marketing and communications for GFG. She joined the management team in 2007 after leading initiatives for MaggieMoo's International LLC as senior director of brand marketing and company operations.
Her appointment is part of the company's realignment strategy, which comes on the heels of its acquisition of various NexCen brands.
"Jenn has a proven track record of marketing and operations success with all of our brands as well as an excellent relationship with corporate leadership and individual store owners," said Chris Dull, president and CEO of Global Franchise Group LLC.
Prior to her franchising stint, Johnston specialized in start-up businesses and new product introductions in various industries. She holds a bachelor's degree in english and communications from Boston College and has an MBA from Georgetown University.
