Multi-brand franchisor Global Franchise Group LLC, parent company of Great American Cookies, MaggieMoo's Ice Cream & Treatery, Marble Slab Creamery and Pretzelmaker, hosted its 2011 QSR Conference in Dallas. More than 400 attendees representing GFG brands attended the event, which included franchise awards and a variety of seminars.
Global Franchise Group made several major announcements during the conference, including its plan to integrate MaggieMoo's Ice Cream & Treatery with Marble Slab Creamery in the near future.
The combined super-premium concept, operating under the Marble Slab Creamery name, will bring together the best elements of both brands.
In addition to the integration, GFG announced the promotion of Bob Cross to vice president of plant operations for GFG Management. In this role, Cross will be responsible for all operations of the GFG manufacturing facility, which produces products for both the Great American Cookies and Pretzelmaker brands. Prior to being promoted, Cross led all aspects of the Great American Cookies business as the brand director.
