Golden Chick has named Howard Terry as its CMO. Terry also currently leads product development and innovation for Golden Chick and is president of Golden Chick's sister brand, Texadelphia. Both Golden Chick and Texadelphia are owned by parent company, Golden Tree Restaurants, a news release said.

"Howard has been an extremely valuable asset to our team for the past five years serving as Golden Chick's senior vice president," Jim Stevens, Golden Chick president, said in the release. "Under his leadership, Golden Chick's marketing, advertising and public relations initiatives have really taken off, proving to be instrumental to our growth and success as a franchise."

Terry has served as president of the 14-unit Texadelphia cheesesteak chain since 2018. Prior to joining Golden Tree, Terry served in a number of marketing leadership roles for Texas Land and Cattle, Lone Star Steakhouse, Mooyah Burgers and Fries, Boston's Pizza Restaurants, Denny's and Bonanza Restaurants as well as long-term marketing consultant to Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers.

"I am extremely humbled to be able to serve as the CMO of a brand with such a rich-history and drive," Terry said in the release. "Over the past five years, my admiration has only grown for Golden Chick and I look forward to the milestones our team will continue to achieve. I am confident that this franchise is on pace to be a major player, not only in the chicken category but in the quick-service industry."

Golden Chick's parent company, Golden Tree Restaurants, also includes Fireside Pies, Happy Taco Bar, Heff's Burgers, Jalapeño Tree, JC's Burger House, JC's Burger Bar, Texadelphia, Lola's Handcrafted Sandwiches and State 28 Grill. The chain is based in Richardson, Texas.
