Good Times' breakfast sales are 'booming'

March 6, 2013

Good Times Restaurants Inc.'s same-store sales increased 11.7 percent for the same 28 days of February compared to the same period in 2012. Factoring in the extra day in February 2012, same-store sales for the month increased 7.5 percent.

These increases were on top of last year's 6 percent same-store sales increase, continuing the company's three-year monthly comparable sales increase trend of more than 20 percent.

"Despite lost sales to a major storm in the last week of February, we were able to maintain our sales momentum. Breakfast sales are booming and we're teeing up our rollout of Hand-Breaded, All Natural Springer Mountain Farms Chicken Tenders for this month, which have almost doubled the category's sales in test without any promotional activity," said Nicholas Corbishley, director of Marketing for Good Times.

The company reiterated its plan for a new creative platform for a television ad campaign that will tell the story of the new Springer Mountain Farms All Natural Chicken Tenderloin introduction, its Meyer Natural Angus All Natural Angus beef and its Hatch Valley New Mexico Green Chile Breakfast Burritos.

"We continue to drive innovation in each of our menu categories supporting the brand's umbrella strategy of fresh, all natural, hand crafted food. The television campaign will reinforce the efforts we go to in order to find the highest quality ingredients that we can provide at relevant pricing to our customers," Corbishley added.
